He completed his apprenticeship & studies & built two Ford-based "specials" before family & career interests took pride of place for many years. Later Roger started his own consultancy business, which allowed him to restore numerous MGBs, a Triumph TR6 & a Triumph Stag & to write three MGB books. He retired in 2000 & has since moved to France and written four Triumph TR restoration books. Roger installed a Rover V8 engine in one of his own MGBs.
